Biographical Information

Masayuki Masuda was drafted by the Yakult Swallows in the third round of the 1991 NPB draft, and he had a 5.49 ERA in 9 games in 1992. He only got one appearance in the next three seasons, then he pitched 22 games with a 4.21 ERA in 1996. Masuda allowed 5 runs in 4 1/3 innings in 1997, and he announced his retirement in 1999.
