Biographical Information[edit]
Masayoshi Takashima signed with the Toei Flyers in 1960, and he hit .218/.269/.277 in 49 games in his first season. He only got 4 at-bats combined in the next two seasons, and he played 50 games with a .203/.271/.250 batting line in 1963. Takashima was the backup third baseman behind Akio Saionji in 1964, and he recorded a .211/.237/.340 batting line in 1965. He went 3-for-35 in 86 games in 1966, and he announced his retirement.
Overall, Takashima hit .199/.243/.279 with 70 hits in 6 seasons in NPB.
