Biographical Information[edit]
Masayoshi Kato represented Japan in the 2005 Asia Junior Championship, and he won three Best Nine awards and a MVP in the Kyushu Big6 Baseball League. He was drafted by the Nippon Ham Fighters in the 3rd round of the 2009 NPB draft, and he hit .136/.136/.182 in 11 games in 2010. He had a .263/.282/.289 batting line in 2011, and he went 4-for-28 in 2012. The Fighters then traded him to the Yokohama BayStars for Shoma Sato, but he never reached the top team again before he announced his retirement in 2015.
