Biographical Information

Masaya Nishigaki has played in Nippon Pro Baseball.

Nishigaki was drafted by the Rakuten Golden Eagles in the 6th round of the 2021 NPB draft; the scout was Yoshinori Okihara. He had a 2.66 ERA in 24 relief outings in 2022, but he missed most of the 2023 season due to thoracic outlet syndrome. Nishigaki returned in 2024, but his ERA was 7.50 in 18 games. He improved to a solid 1.96 ERA in 63 games with 14 holds in 2025, and he was 2nd in appearances in the Pacific League (2 behind Kazuki Sugiyama).
