Biographical Information

Masato Okumura was drafted by the Softbank Hawks in the 7th round of the 2018 NPB draft, and he had a 8.76 ERA in 12 games in 2019 for the big club. He pitched 5 games with a 2.08 ERA in 2020, and he had a 0.90 ERA in 4 games in 2022. Okumura missed the entire 2023 season due to right elbow injury, and he announced his retirement. He then became a minor league pitching coach for the Hawks.
