Biographical Information[edit]
Masamitsu Genoka pitched in Nippon Pro Baseball for 5 years.
Genoka signed with the Yakult Swallows in 1981, and he mainly stayed in the NPB Farm Leagues in his first three seasons; he only got 6 at-bats for the top team. He hit .293/.348/.415 in 81 games in 1984, and he played 62 games (70 PA) with a .242/.275/.439 batting line in 1985. Genoka was 0-for-6 in 1986, and he had a 2-for-10 record in 19 games in 1987. He didn't reach the big club again, and he announced his retirement in 1989.
Overall, Genoka hit .264/.313/.408 with 66 hits in 5 seasons in NPB.
