Biographical Information

Masami Maruyama signed with the Daiei Stars in 1955, and he only got 23 at-bats before the Stars merged with the Takahashi Unions in 1957. He jumped to the Toei Flyers, and he was 1-for-4 in 1959. Maruyama went 13-for-39 in 1960, and he had a 7-for-34 record in 1961. He only got 14 more at-bats for the big club before he announced his retirement in 1967.
