Biographical Information[edit]
Masaki Iwami represented Japan in the 2017 Universiade, and he set the Tokyo Big6 Baseball League with 12 homers in a year. He was drafted by the Rakuten Golden Eagles in the 2nd round of the 2017 NPB draft, and he was 0-for-24 in his first season. He stayed in the NPB Farm Leagues in 2019, and he went 8-for-37 in 2020. Iwami only played 7 more games for the big club, and he announced his retirement in 2022. He later scouted for the Golden Eagles, signing Haruto Nakagomi and Masahiro Ehara.
