Biographical Information

Masaki Ikoma played in Nippon Pro Baseball for 5 years.

Ikoma was drafted by the Nippon Ham Fighters in the 4th round of the 1996 NPB draft, and he allowed 6 runs in 3 innings in his first season. He had a solid 1.04 ERA in 10 games in 1998, and he went 2-8 with a 4.08 ERA and 4 saves in 1999. Ikoma pitched 28 games with a 3.90 ERA in 2000, and his ERA rose to 6.23 in 4 games in 2001. He didn't return to the big club again, and he announced his retirement in 2003.

Overall, Ikoma was 3-9 with a 3.98 ERA, struck out 101 and pitched 151 1/3 innings in 5 seasons in NPB.
