Biographical Information[edit]
Masahiro Koda was drafted by the Yakult Swallows in the 4th round of the 1988 NPB draft, and he hit .212/.261/.252 in 124 games for the Salinas Spurs in 1989, fielding .952 as their main shortstop. He only got 5 at-bats combined in his next four seasons back in Japan, and he went 5-for-28 in 1994. Koda only had 3 more at-bats for the top team, and he announced his retirement in 1997.
