Biographical Information

Masahiko Ishida was drafted by the Lotte Orions in the first round of the 1985 NPB draft, but he only pitched a game in each of the 1989 and 1991 seasons before he announced his retirement in 1994. He didn't retire a batter in his entire career (he allowed one hit, one walk and one run), and he was the only Japanese pitcher to do so in NPB history (through 2024).
