Biographical Information

Masaaki Ninomiya signed with the Daiei Stars in 1953, and he went 8-for-27 in his first season. He hit .214/.284/.299 in 87 games in 1954, and he led the Pacific League with 8 hit-by-pitches. Ninomiya played 77 games with a .236/.294/.345 batting line in 1955, and he slumped to .132/.175/.132 in 1956. He then jumped to the Taiyo Whales, but he only played 25 more games before he announced his retirement in 1958.

Overall, Ninomiya hit .218/.281/.308 with 122 hits and 2 homers in 6 seasons in NPB.
