Biographical Information[edit]

Marlyn Yendez has been on the Venezuelan women's national team.

She pitched one shutout inning in the 2022 Women's Baseball Americas World Cup Qualifier as Venezuela moved on to the 2023-2024 Women's Baseball World Cup. [1] She was not with them for the World Cup but was back with them for the 2025 Pan American Women's Championship. As a 1B/DH/P, she hit .333/.412/.417 with 6 RBI in 5 games, going 2-0 with 8 2/3 shutout innings (2 H, 1 BB, 13 K), beating Nicaragua's Elida Castillo and then topping Mexico's Flor Valerio in the title game (in which she went 1 2/3 in relief). She tied Denise Pérez and Jessica Herrera for 8th in RBI, led in ERA (Maricela Aguillera was next at 1.24), was second in strikeouts (one behind Yenny Tovar) and tied Aguillera for the lead in wins. She was named the MVP. [2]
