Mark Vickers

From BR Bullpen

Mark Vickers was one of the top stars for the British national team. The shortstop hit .455 in the 1992 B-Level European Championship with 11 runs, 10 RBI and 2 homers in 6 games; the run and RBI figures were team records until broken by Brant Ust (runs and RBI) and Ian Young (RBI) 15 years later. He hit .333 with 9 runs and 7 RBI in 6 games at the 1994 B-Level European Championship, leading Britain with three doubles. He hit .455 in the 1996 B-Level European Championship with 5 runs in 3 games, missing time due to injury. He was at .273 as Britain's shortstop in the 1997 European Championship. Through 2019, he was tied with Brad Marcelino for the all-time British national team lead in runs (29), 8th in hits (30) and tied for 9th in doubles (even with Nateshon Thomas and Marcelino).
