Biographical Information

Marisleydis Mercado pitched for the Cuban women's national team in the 2023-2024 Women's Baseball World Cup. She closed out their loss to Puerto Rico, relieving Isabel Gonzalez with the bases loaded, one out and a 9-0 deficit in the 5th. She got Lisandra Berrios-Lopez on a fly that made it 10-0 and balked in a run before retiring Jonaliz Ayala. The game ended early due to the mercy rule.
