Biographical Information

Mario Marte was on the Dominican national team in the 1982 Central American and Caribbean Games (winning the Gold, the last time Cuba did not take the Gold between 1962 and 2002), 1982 Amateur World Series, 1983 Pan American Games and 1984 Amateur World Series. In the latter event, he threw 3 2/3 shutout innings and was 1-0, beating the Dutch national team's Haitze de Vries.
