Biographical Information

Makoto Yoshida was drafted by the Toei Flyers in the first round of the 1967 NPB draft, but he never had more than 50 at-bats in a season for the big club before the Flyers released him in 1974. The Taiheiyo Club Lions then signed him, and he hit .219/.306/.406 in 71 games in 1975. Yoshida announced his retirement after that season.
