Biographical Information[edit]

Makoto Aiuchi was drafted by the Seibu Lions in the 2nd round of the 2012 NPB draft, and he stayed in the NPB Farm Leagues in his first season. He pitched 3 games with a 3.00 ERA for the Melbourne Aces in the 2013-2014 ABL, and he was 0-2 with a 14.54 ERA for Seibu in 2014. Aiuchi was 2-1 with a 3.52 ERA for the Aces during the 2014-2015 ABL, and he didn't reach the big club in 2015; he was 12-7 with a 4.24 ERA in the minors. He led the Eastern League in wins (one ahead of Hirotoshi Takanashi) and was second with 120 strikeouts (two behind Takanashi) Aiuchi allowed 10 runs in 7 2/3 innings in 2016, and he surrendered 13 runs in 6 innings in 2017. He pitched 10 games with a 3.45 ERA in 2018, and he only started 2 games in 2019. He was caught dangerous driving in 2020 (not his first driving offense as he was caught speeding and driving without a license in 2013), and the Lions released him. Aiuchi later became a wrestler.
