Biographical Information

Kyohei Nakamura was drafted by the Hiroshima Carp in the 2nd round of the 2010 NPB draft, and he went 0-2 with a 4.05 ERA in 2011. He then recorded a 4.85 ERA in 8 relief outings in 2012, and he was 1-5 with a 3.96 ERA in 11 starts in 2013. Nakamura only pitched one game in the next two seasons, and he had a 1-1 record with a 5.40 ERA in 2016. He didn't reach the big club in 2017, and he allowed 12 runs in 14 1/3 innings in 2018. Nakamura then pitched 43 games with a solid 2.64 ERA and 12 holds in 2019, and his ERA was 0.96 in 14 games in 2020. He missed the entire 2021 season due to injuries, and he announced his retirement.

Overall, Nakamura was 2-11 with a 4.23 ERA, struck out 134 and pitched 185 innings in 8 seasons in NPB. He was 24-42 in the minors.
