Biographical Information

Kyohei Nagae was drafted by the Seibu Lions in the 4th round of the 2011 NPB draft, and he went 1-for-27 in 2012. He struggled again in 2013 as his batting line was .141/.202/.244, then he hit .182/.226/.261 in 65 games in 2014; he had 100 plate appearances, backing up Naoto Watanabe at short. Nagae had a 4-for-22 record in 2015, and he collected 12 hits in 74 at-bats in 2016. He was 4-for-17 in 2017, and he mainly stayed in the minors in 2018. Nagae went 2-for-21 in 2019, and he announced his retirement in 2020.

Overall, Nagae hit .153/.208/.223 with 50 hits in 8 seasons in NPB.
