Biographical Information

Kuniyoshi Niidome played in Nippon Pro Baseball for 6 years.

Niidome signed with the Nishitetsu Lions in 1950, and he hit.285/.324/.386 in 96 games in his first season. He recorded a .293/.315/.390 batting line in 1951, then he slumped to .189/.236/.235 in 1952. Niidome struggled again after he jumped to the Hankyu Braves in 1953 as his batting line was .206/.242/.270, and he hit .256/.300/.320 in 78 games in 1954. His batting line was .180/.190/.230 in 50 games in 1955, and he announced his retirement.

Overall, Niidome hit .251/.287/.330 with 231 hits and 11 homers in 6 seasons in NPB.
