Biographical Information[edit]
Koki Ugusa has played in Nippon Pro Baseball.
Ugusa represented Japan in the 2015 U-18 Baseball World Cup, going 1 for 11 with two walks and two runs as a backup infielder for the Silver Medalists. He was drafted by the Hiroshima Carp in the 2nd round of the 2019 NPB draft, and he hit .256/.319/.326 in 13 games in his first season. He crushed 4 homers with a .291/.331/.432 batting line in 2021 (in the minor Western League, he tied for 4th with five triples), then he recorded a .205/.278/.261 batting line in 45 appearances in 2022. Ugusa spent the entire 2023 season in the NPB Farm Leagues, and he batted .242/.306/.409 with 3 homers in 2024.
