Biographical Information[edit]
Kojiro Yokoyama pitched in Nippon Pro Baseball for 8 years.
Yokoyama signed with the Tokyo Orions in 1965, and he only got 11 appearances combined in his first three seasons. He recorded a 3.50 ERA in 34 games in 1968, but he only pitched 2 games in 1969. Yokoyama stayed in the minors for the entire 1970 season, and he completed the 4th no-hitter of the minor Eastern League on June 1, 1971. His ERA was 3.49 in 36 appearances for the top team that season, then he slumped to 1-6 with a 5.58 ERA in 1972. The Orions traded him to the Hiroshima Carp for Yoshihiro Iizuka, and his ERA was 3.71 in 10 appearances in 1973. Yokoyama recorded a 4.50 ERA in 7 games in 1974, and he announced his retirement
Overall, Yokoyama was 10-15 with a 4.28 ERA, struck out 150 and pitched 309 1/3 innings in 8 seasons in NPB.
