Biographical Information

Koji Tahara was drafted by the Seibu Lions in the 6th round of the 1992 NPB draft, and he spent his first eight seasons in the NPB Farm Leagues. He was 0-for-2 in 2001, and he went 4-for-19 in 2003. Tahara had a 6-for-23 record in 2004, and he got some chances as Seibu's catcher Toru Hosokawa struggled in 2005. Tahara played a career-high 46 games, and his batting line was .083/.098/.150. He went 6-for-29 in 2006, but he failed to return to the big club before announced his retirement in 2008.
