Biographical Information

Koichi Yahagi hit .290 with 17 homers and two Best Nine awards in his college career. He was drafted by the Nippon Ham Fighters in the 6th round of the 1988 NPB draft, and he was 2-for-9 in 1989. Yahagi went 3-for-19 in 1990, and he only got 8 more at-bats before he announced his retirement in 1992.
