Biographical Information

Koichi Amano was drafted by the Hiroshima Carp in the 10th round of the 2001 NPB draft, and he had a 1.20 ERA in 13 games in his first season. He recorded a 3.00 ERA in 49 games with a 2-4 record in 2003, and he went 3-2 with a 5.36 ERA in 45 games in 2004. Amano had a 9.98 ERA in 14 games in 2005, and he announced his retirement in 2006. He managed the Fukui Nexus Elephants in 2009.
