Biographical Information[edit]
Kohei Kimura went 1-for-3 with the Kurowashi club in 1941, and he played 100 games with a .236/.270/.256 batting line in 1942. He was 7th in batting in the Japanese Professional Baseball League, between Kentaro Ito and Katsumi Shiraishi. Kimura then hit .228/.320/.285 with 12 doubles in 1943, and he was 4th in hits (between Kazuo Yoshida and Den Yamada), 3rd in doubles (tied with Shosei Go and Yoshida) and 6th in runs (between Wataru Nonin and Shiraishi). The next year, Kimura was drafted into the Japanese military, and he died during World War II.
Overall, Kimura hit .233/.295/.271 with 160 hits in 3 seasons in NPB.
