Biographical Information

Kiyoshi Yamada signed with the Hiroshima Carp in 1954, and he only pitched 2 games in his first season. He was 1-6 with a 5.75 ERA in 1955, then he went 1-9 with a 3.97 ERA in 1956. Yamada was 1-6 with a 2.73 ERA in 1957, but he only pitched 10 games with a 8.36 ERA in 1958 and he announced his retirement.

Overall, Yamada went 3-22 with a 4.41 ERA, struck out 116 and pitched 295 2/3 innings in 5 seasons in NPB.
