Biographical Information

Kiyoshi Sasaki was drafted by the Nippon Ham Fighters in the 4th round of the 1999 NPB draft, and he only played 2 games in 2000. He was 1-6 with a 6.29 ERA in 2001, and he went 2-4 with a 5.14 ERA in 2002 while leading the Pacific League with 12 wild pitches. Sasaki had a 7.11 ERA in 20 games in 2003, and he struggled again in 2004 as he recorded a 6.16 ERA in 20 relief outings. He only pitched 6 games in 2005, and he announced his retirement in 2006.
