Biographical Information[edit]
Kiyoshi Harada played in Nippon Pro Baseball for 8 years.
Harada signed with the Tokyu Flyers in 1949, and he went 5-for-35 in his first season. He hit .248/.305/.363 with 15 doubles in 1950, and he recorded a .254/.308/.381 batting line in 1951. Harada improved to .292/.366/.379 in 1952, and he played 110 games with a .268/.333/.366 batting line in 1953. He crushed a career-high 13 homers with a .225/.304/.389 batting line in 1954, and he collected 18 doubles with a .232/.300/.316 batting line in 1955. He slumped to .190/.243/.238 in 1956, and he announced his retirement.
Overall, Harada hit .245/.310/.351 with 497 hits and 36 homers in 8 seasons in NPB.
