Biographical Information[edit]
Kiyokazu Seki struck out 81 in the fall season in 1986, and he was 2nd in strikeouts in the Tohto University Base Ball League history (2 behind Hiroshi Maruko). He was drafted by the Lotte Orions in the first round of the 1986 NPB draft, and he went 1-0 with a 1.93 ERA in 1987. Seki went 3-4 with a 3.97 ERA in 1988, but he slumped to 0-3 with a 6.54 ERA in 1989. He only pitched 3 more games after that season in NPB, and he also went 5-6 with a 4.94 ERA for the Visalia Oaks in 1995. Seki announced his retirement in 1996.
