Biographical Information

Kikuo Sugikawa signed with the Daiei Stars in 1950, but he didn't reach the big club and left the team. He signed with the Shochiku Robins in 1952, and he went 3-5 with a 3.62 ERA in 1953. Sugikawa slumped to 5-8 with a 5.34 ERA in 1954, and his ERA was 5.63 in 19 games with a 0-8 record in 1955. He only pitched 8 games in 1956, and he announced his retirement.

Overall, Sugikawa was 8-22 with a 4.84 ERA, struck out 112 and pitched 303 innings in 4 seasons in NPB.
