Biographical Information

Kikuo Sato signed with the Tokyo Senators in 1936, and he hit .213/.314/.262 in 18 games in his only season. He collapsed during a game on July 18 against the Osaka Tigers due to heat illness, and he passed away later. Sato was the first NPB player who died during the season.
