Park played for South Korea in the 2003 Baseball World Cup as a regular third baseman; he went 6 for 18 with two doubles. He made his Korea Baseball Organization in 2004, going 8 for 34 with 4 walks and 11 K in 38 games for the LG Twins. In 2005, Park hit .272/~.369/.375 in a backup role for LG. In the 2005 Baseball World Cup, Ki-nam batted only .182/.229/.242 as the starting South Korean 2B. He was 0 for 3 with a walk and an error in the 3-0 loss to Cuba in the Gold Medal game. Park hit .243/~.307/.336 in 74 games for the 2006 Twins. He hit .324/.400/.324 in the 2007 Baseball World Cup while fielding perfectly at 2B and 3B. He did not play in the KBO from 2007-2008, presumably due to military service. In April 2009, he was traded with Sang-hyeon Kim to the KIA Tigers for Chul-min Kang.
