Kevin Rand

Kevin Rand is a trainer.

Rand was head trainer for the Fort Lauderdale Yankees (1982-1984), Albany Yankees (1985) and Columbus Clippers (1986-1988). From 1989-1992, he was head athletic trainer/rehabilitation supervisor for the New York Yankees. He was assistant trainer for the Florida Marlins from 1993-2001, then was assistant trainer for the Montréal Expos. in 2002 He has been with the Detroit Tigers since 2003. He was head trainer for the American League at the 2005 All-Star Game. In 2007, he was inducted into the Maine Baseball Hall of Fame. After the 2017 season, he relinquished the position of head athletic trainer to become the organization's director of medical services, working from a base at the Tigers' spring training complex in Lakeland, FL. In October 2022 Rand left the Tigers to focus on Rand Bullpen Initiatives LLC, which he had started in 2018.
