Biographical Information[edit]

Kevin Kasper played collegiately at Southern California College, now known as Vanguard University. He would play four years for the Vanguards before signing a professional contract with the San Francisco Giants in 1989. He would play the rest of the 1989 season in low-A Everett in the Northwest League. Kasper would spend the entire 1990 season in A-ball with the Clinton Giants hitting .210 in 102 games. In 1991 would again start his year in Clinton before getting the call up to high-A San Jose in the California League. After hitting .267 in 22 games, he would then get called to AA with the Shreveport Captains to finish the year hitting .250. The 1992 season saw Kasper's numbers dip as he began the season in San Jose before again getting called to Shreveport. In his final year of playing in 1993, Kasper appeared in 65 games for AA Shreveport hitting .215. He would primarily appear at second base, short stop, or third base.

He began his coaching career at Woodbridge High School in Irvine, CA before being named head coach of Southern California College (Vanguard University) in 1996. He would hold the position until 2004.
