Biographical Information[edit]
Kenword Burton was on the Nicaraguan national team for the 2026 World Baseball Classic Qualifiers. He started against Spain and went 4 1/3 innings with four hits, three walks and one run (a Carlos Colmenarez homer) while fanning five in a duel with Yoanner Negrín; JC Ramírez relieved in what would be a 2-1, 10-inning win. Nicaragua moved on to the 2026 World Baseball Classic. He tied Dylan Unsworth for 7th in group A in IP and tied Jo-Hsi Hsu and Yung-Chen Lu for 5th in strikeouts. [1]
