Biographical Information[edit]
Kentaro Yasui signed with the Nankai club in 1941, and he hit .201/.329/.243 in 82 games in his first season. He missed the next four seasons, probably because of military service, and he went 3-for-18 in 1946. Yasui then jumped to the Hankyu Braves, and he had a .206/.264/.230 batting line in 1947. He batted .265/.310/.331 in 47 games in 1948, and he announced his retirement.
Overall, Yasui hit .215/.307/.257 with 134 hits in 4 seasons in NPB.
