Biographical Information

Kenta Matsusaka was drafted by the Seibu Lions in the 5th round of the 2003 NPB draft, and he spent his first three seasons in the NPB Farm Leagues. He was 2-for-9 in 2007, and he hit .264/.316/.429 in 55 games in 2008. Matsusaka went 6-for-36 in 2009, and the Lions released him in 2010. He signed with the Nippon Ham Fighters, but he was placed in the minors for the entire 2011 season and he announced his retirement.
