Biographical Information

Kenjiro Tsuruoka represented Japan in the 2005 Asia Junior Championship. He played for the Ehime Mandarin Pirates in 2010, and the Yokohama BayStars selected him in the 8th round of the 2010 NPB draft. He hit .267/.327/.267 in 24 games in 2014 (as a backup to catcher Toshiki Kurobane), but those were his only appearances before he announced his retirement in 2015. He later became the minor league battery coach for the BayStars from 2018 to 2019 and assistant battery coach for their top team in 2024.
