Biographical Information

Kenji Tomokawa signed with the Taiyo-Shochiku Robins in 1953, and he hit .137/.197/.230 in 72 games in 1955. He recorded a .154/.234/.245 batting line in 1956, and he played 103 games with a .188/.239/.268 batting line in 1957; he only had 163 plate appearances as a part-time outfielder. Tomokawa's batting line was .220/.237/.308 in 76 games in 1958, and he moved to the Kokutetsu Swallows However, he only got 6 at-bats for the big club in 1959, and he announced his retirement.

Overall, Tomokawa hit .167/.225/.255 with 92 hits in 5 seasons in NPB; he had 601 plate appearances in 347 games.
