Biographical Information

Kenji Kobayashi was drafted by the Orix Buffaloes in the first round of the college & industrial Phase in the 2008 NPB draft after they lost the lotteries for the rights to Shota Oba and Junpei Shinoda. He pitched a shutout inning in 2009, but he then suffered from a right shoulder injury. The Buffaloes released him in 2012, and he announced his retirement.
