Biographical Information

Kenichi Uchiyama was drafted by the Yakult Swallows in the 3rd round of the 1985 NPB draft, and he stayed in the NPB Farm Leagues in his first four seasons. He went 3-10 with 6 saves and a 5.92 ERA for the Salinas Spurs in 1990, and he also pitched one game for the big club. Uchiyama had a 3.66 ERA in 11 games in 1991, but he didn't return to the big club again before announced his retirement in 1993.
