Biographical Information

Kenichi Sumoto signed with the Tokyu Flyers in 1950, and he hit .292/.346/.375 in 41 games in his first season. He slumped to .167/.167/.194 in 1951, and he announced his retirement. Sumoto later coached Tokushima Commercial High School.
