Biographical Information[edit]
Kenichi Isoda played in Nippon Pro Baseball for 7 years.
Isoda signed with the Hiroshima Carp in 1950, and he went 3-for-13 in his first season. He hit .218/.329/.286 in 96 games in 1951, and he had a .205/.287/.238 batting line in 1952. Isoda improved to .302/.362/.377 in 70 games in 1953, but his batting line then fell to .215/.299/.232 in 1954. He struggled again in 1955 as he hit .195/.284/.232 in 81 games, and he had a 22-for-84 record in 1956. Isoda stayed in the minors for the entire 1957 season, and he announced his retirement afterwards.
Overall, Isoda hit .221/.308/.264 with 268 hits and 2 homers in 7 seasons in NPB.
