Biographical Information

Keita Yamamoto has played in Nippon Pro Baseball.

Yamamoto was drafted by the Softbank Hawks in the 9th round of the development phase in the 2021 NPB draft; the scout was Akira Matsumoto. He stayed in the NPB Farm Leagues in his first three seasons, and he hit .214/.313/.314 in 25 games for the top team in 2025. He batted .329/.414/.500 down on the farm that year, and would have led the Western League in average, OBP, slugging and obviously OPS had he qualified.
