Biographical Information[edit]

Keisuke Imai played in Nippon Pro Baseball for 8 years.

Imai was drafted by the Hiroshima Carp in the 2nd round of the 2005 NPB draft, and he stayed in the NPB Farm Leagues in his first three seasons. He was 1-3 with a 3.74 ERA in 2009, and he slumped to 0-3 with a 5.40 ERA in 2010. Imai bounced back soon, and his ERA was 2.97 in 11 games in 2011. He returned to the rotation in 2012, and he went 4-8 with a 2.81 ERA. Imai notched 2 holds with a 3.23 ERA in 33 appearances in 2013, but his ERA rose to 6.35 in 11 games in 2014. He pitched 11 games with a 3.00 ERA in 2015, and he only got 4 more appearances before he announced his retirement in 2017.

Overall, Imai went 8-20 with a 3.59 ERA, struck out 230 and pitched 310 2/3 innings in 8 seasons in NPB.
