Biographical Information[edit]
Outfielder Keishi Totoki played in Nippon Pro Baseball for 6 years.
Totoki signed with the Yomiuri Giants in 1955, and he went 12-for-45 in 1956. He was 0-for-3 with 2 walks in the 1956 Nippon Series, and the Nishitetsu Lions beat the Giants in 6 games. He then had a 7-for-39 record in 1957, and he crushed a game-tying solo shot against Tadao Wako in the 1957 Nippon Series Game 1. The Lions still beat the Giants again. Totoki went 1-for-24 in 1958, and he was 1-for-11 in 1959 then the Giants sent him to the Hankyu Braves. Totoki hit .203/.256/.315 in 1960, and he recorded a .212/.257/.283 batting line in 1961 and he retired.
Overall, Totoki hit .200/.254/.298 with 88 hits and 7 homers in 476 plate appearances spread over 6 seasons in NPB, only topping 100 AB in 1960.
