Biographical Information[edit]
Keiichi Yamaguchi signed with the Nishitetsu Lions in 1957, but he only had 14 at-bats before he left the team in 1958. He joined the Hiroshima Carp, and he hit .195/.215/.221 in 42 games in 1959. Yamaguchi was 1-for-12 in 1960, and he went 9-for-39 in 1961. He had a 7-for-49 record in 1962, and he announced his retirement.
Overall, Yamaguchi hit .183/.224/.241 with 35 hits in 6 seasons in NPB.
