Biographical Information

Keiichi Shimazu was drafted by the Nippon Ham Fighters in the 2nd round of the 1973 NPB draft, and he hit .263/.404/.289 in 18 games in 1974. He was 2-for-11 in 1975, and he led the Eastern League in steals in his first two seasons. Shimazu spent the next seasons in the minors, and he was released in 1976. The Taiheiyo Club Lions signed him, but he only played 4 games before he announced his retirement in 1977.
